The high-risk assessment is usually between 1.5-2 hours in duration.

What is a diagnostic evaluation?

Psychological tests aimed to examine a person’s mental health, cognitive, academic, developmental, and/or executive functioning needs. The evaluation provides any applicable diagnoses information, outcomes of the assessments, and recommendations.

Who would benefit most from a diagnostic psychological evaluation in Pennsylvania?

What should I expect during the psychological evaluation process?

Psychological evaluations are typically scheduled in three appointments. The testing is completed in two two-hour sessions. During the testing sessions a clinical interview is conducted, the battery of assessments are completed, and self-report measures are provided. Upon consent, coordination occurs between the evaluator and any other academic or professionals working with the individual being evaluated. During the feedback session the outcomes and recommendations are reviewed and the report is provided.

There are some diagnostic evaluations that are completed in one testing and one feedback session, but this would be reviewed during the consult call when discussing needs and previous testing completed.

How long should I expect from my testing appointment to the feedback and report?

The feedback is typically scheduled three weeks following the last testing session.
